You must submit certain documentary evidence as part of your application in order for officers to assess and verify your claim. Before you apply, please ensure you have the following evidence:

| These documents are mandatory for all business types | - Bank account statements going back 12 months from the point of application
- Copy of accounts from 2019/20, or if not available then from 2018/19
- Certificate of incorporation (not applicable for sole traders)
- Lease/tenancy agreements valid for the current period
- Most recent tax return (and no earlier than 2018-19 tax year)
- Utility bills such as gas, electricity, water, internet, telephone or security
- Redacted payroll statements for any of February, March or April 2020
- Most recent business rates bills or, where your business does not pay business rates directly, evidence of current annual rent/mortgage liability
